Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) set out the conditions for using the web tool “XPost Converter” (the “Site”) provided by its operator, Chizmo (the “Operator”). By using the Site, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

Article 1 (Application)

These Terms apply to all relationships between the Operator and users regarding use of the Site. Where the Site separately provides specific rules, those rules form part of these Terms.

Article 2 (Service)

The Site provides, free of charge, a feature for users to convert video files in the browser into an MP4 format suitable for posting to X (formerly Twitter). All conversion runs entirely inside the user's browser (on their device); nothing is uploaded to the Operator's servers or sent to any third party.

Article 3 (Operating environment)

Users are responsible, at their own expense, for providing the PC, smartphone, browser, network environment, and so on required to use the Site. Depending on the user's environment, some or all of the Site's features may not work correctly.

Article 4 (Prohibited conduct)

When using the Site, users must not engage in any of the following:

• Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
• Acts related to criminal activity
• Using videos for conversion for which the user does not hold the copyright or other rights, or has not obtained the rights holder's permission
• Acts that destroy or interfere with the functions of the Site's servers or network
• Acts that may interfere with the operation of the Site
• Unauthorized copying, modification, or redistribution of the Site's source code or programs
• Any other act the Operator deems inappropriate

Article 5 (Intellectual property)

Copyright and other intellectual property rights in the Site's content (text, design, programs, etc.) belong to the Operator or the rightful rights holders. Copyright in videos converted by users using the Site belongs to the rights holder of the original video.

Article 6 (Changes, suspension, and termination)

The Operator may change the content of the Site, or suspend or terminate its provision, without prior notice to users. The Operator accepts no liability for any damages incurred by users as a result.

Article 7 (Disclaimer)

• The Operator makes no warranty whatsoever as to the accuracy, completeness, usefulness, or fitness for a particular purpose of the Site's content or conversion results.
• The Operator accepts no liability whatsoever for any damages arising from use of the Site (including conversion defects, data loss, or whether a video can be posted to X (Twitter)).
• Information published on the Site, such as the X free-plan video specifications, may change without notice at X's discretion.
• The Operator accepts no liability for any trouble arising between a user and other users or third parties.

Article 8 (Advertising)

The Site may use third-party advertising services. For the handling of cookies related to advertising, please see our Privacy Policy.

Article 9 (Changes to these Terms)

The Operator may change these Terms without notifying users when it deems necessary. The revised Terms take effect when posted on the Site, and by using the Site after the change, the user is deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.

Article 10 (Governing law and jurisdiction)

These Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of Japan as the governing law. In the event of a dispute between the Operator and a user regarding the Site, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Operator shall be the exclusive agreed jurisdictional court of first instance.
